ACHHAM: A pressure cooker bomb went off at Kamal Bazaar Municipality in the district on Thursday night.
The improvised explosive device (IED) exploded at 1 am today at the office of the municipality, said Police Inspector Janak Bahadur Shahi.
Meanwhile, the cadres of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Netra Bikram Chand has claimed responsibility for the explosion. The explosion has damaged the door the of office the municipality.
Police said they have launched a manhunt for the miscreants.
Earlier on September 15, an unidentified group of people had detonated a bomb targeting the house of chief of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality.
