Gold price hits new record high today



KATHMANDU: Gold prices are setting new record highs every day.

Yesterday (Tuesday), gold reached its highest price ever, and today it has set a new record for the most expensive price.

Today, the price of gold has surged by 800 rupees per tola, reaching an all-time high of 176,000 rupees per tola, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.

On Tuesday, gold prices increased by 1,100 rupees per tola, reaching 175,200 rupees per tola.

The Federation also reported a decrease in the price of silver today. Silver prices have fallen by 5 rupees per tola, bringing the price down to 2,045 rupees per tola.

In the third week of last Mangsir, gold prices had dropped by 18,500 rupees per tola in just two days. This decline followed a significant drop in customs duties by the government. Since then, both gold and silver prices have steadily risen again.
