Gold medalist Prince welcomed back home



KATHMANDU: Prince Dahal who won a gold medal in the ‘Dubai Junior International Badminton Series U-19 Boys’ received a warm welcome back to his home.

A team from the Nepal Badminton Association comprising Chair Ramji Bahadur Shreshtha, vice chair Lawabhakta Shrestha, secretary Nabin Bikram Shah and member Deepak Thapa reached Tribhuvan International Airport to receive Prince and his coach Kamlesh Niraula back home.

In the final held on Sunday, Prince beat world’s ninth rank player Barun Kapoor of India by a 2-0 straight set.

Prince also clinched the silver in the U-19 mixed doubles and U-19 boys doubles in the tournament.
