KATHMANDU: The government has collected Rs 4.12 billion in revenue from the real estate sector in the month of Falgun.
According to the Department of Land Management and Archives, this marks an increase in real estate transactions compared to the previous month, Magh.
As the realty business gradually returns to normal, revenue collection has also risen. Specifically, Rs 288 million was generated from service taxes, Rs 2.20 billion from registration fees, and Rs 1.57 billion from capital gains tax during this period.
For comparison, in previous months of the current fiscal year, the government collected Rs 3.83 billion in Shrawan, Rs 3.90 billion in Bhadra, Rs 3.80 billion in Ashoj, Rs 2.70 billion in Kartik, Rs 3.87 billion in Mangsir, Rs 4.25 billion in Poush, and Rs 3.87 billion in Magh.
The Land Revenue Office in Lagankhel, Lalitpur district, alone collected Rs 380.2 million in Falgun, according to the Department.
