Supreme Court should work to enhance public trust on judiciary: President Poudel

KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the Supreme Court should work to enhance people’s confidence on the judiciary by ensuring their access to justice and delivering justice in a fair, speedy, easy and accessible manner.

Receiving the annual reports of the Supreme Court, Judicial Council and Judicial Service Commission today, President Poudel said that he is confident that the important issues raised in the reports would be addressed to fulfill constitutional and legal obligations as per the Constitution.

The President appreciated the role played by all levels of courts and judicial bodies, including the Supreme Court, in the campaign to provide justice to all.

He also suggested that the judiciary should play a stronger role in the coming days for judicial impartiality and effective justice delivery.
