TU Cricket Ground makeover gathers pace



KATHMANDU: The construction of infrastructure at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground has picked up speed as part of the government’s commitment to upgrading the facility.

Both the installation of floodlights and the construction of parapets at the cricket ground have gained momentum, with the construction company ramping up efforts to complete the project on time.

The contract for the construction, valued at Rs 437 million, was awarded to BKOI-KCDC-BG JV, which has now intensified the work.

According to Prem Poudel, the site manager, the construction is being carried out in three shifts to ensure timely completion.

He further stated that the construction has been accelerated, including performing the necessary rituals at the site.

The efforts to upgrade the Tribhuvan University cricket ground come as part of the government’s commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure in the country.
