Opposition heats up parliament over three key issues, including the Kulman case

KATHMANDU: The main opposition, Maoist Center, along with other parties, strongly criticized the government in Wednesday’s parliamentary session, raising concerns over three major issues.

The most contentious among them was the alleged attempt to remove Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Managing Director Kulman Ghising by giving him a zero mark in his performance evaluation.

During the emergency and zero-hour session, opposition lawmakers accused the government of targeting Ghising despite his significant contributions to Nepal’s energy sector.

They also condemned the suspension of two YouTubers from Parliament and the handling of violence at Dasharath Stadium during the KP Oli Cup final.

The session saw heated exchanges as opposition leaders demanded accountability and warned the government against political interference in key sectors.
