Low-pressure system impacting weather across Nepal



KATHMANDU: Currently, a western low-pressure system is partially affecting the country.

As of Tuesday morning, the weather in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces is mostly cloudy to generally cloudy.

In Lumbini province, the weather is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is experiencing mainly clear skies, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

Light rain is also occurring in a few places in Sudurpaschim Province.

The Division indicated that light rain is expected to continue in one or two areas of Sudurpaschim Province this afternoon.

Additionally, there is a chance of light snowfall in a few areas of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces today.

“As rain and snowfall may have a partial impact on daily life, health, road, and air transport, we urge the public to take necessary precautions to mitigate any possible effects,” the Division stated.
