Fire destroys four buildings near Rara Lake



MUGU: A fire broke out at a hotel near Rara Lake last night, destroying four wooden buildings.

The blaze, which started in the hotel’s kitchen and spread after a gas cylinder explosion, caused significant damage to three nearby structures.

Hotel staff, along with personnel from the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force, successfully extinguished the fire this morning.

A 15-member police team led by Sub Inspector Deepak KC responded swiftly, arriving from the district headquarters in Gamgadhi.

All hotel guests were safely evacuated and relocated to nearby hotels, army barracks, and national park offices. The District Police Office reported that no casualties occurred.
