PPMO blacklists 18 construction companies



KATHMANDU: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO), under the Prime Minister’s Office, has blacklisted 18 construction companies.

In a notice issued today, the office stated that the companies were blacklisted following requests from various bodies.

The blacklisting was done in accordance with Sub-section (1) of Section 63 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063, it said.

Among those blacklisted, Bhavya Construction, based in Palhinandan-2 and led by Umesh Singh, has been banned for three years.

RC Construction, located in Sundar Haraicha-12, Morang, and headed by Ramchandra Giri, has been blacklisted for two years.

Similarly, Sohan Awa JV of Ghorahi, Sohan Nirman Sewa, and Awa Construction Pvt. Ltd. have all received two-year blacklisting penalties.
