National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament is taking place today.

The meeting will be held at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 1:15 pm.

The agenda for the meeting includes the presentation of the Report on the Need for Legal Provisions Regarding the Rights and Development of the Dalit Community, 2081, by Kamala Panta, Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee.

The agenda also includes the tabling of messages received from the House of Representatives by National Assembly Secretary Dr. Surendra Aryal regarding the Secure Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2080 and the Banking Offences and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080, which were passed by the National Assembly and sent to the House of Representatives along with a message.

In addition, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Bidya Bhattarai is scheduled to present a proposal to consider the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Deepak Khadka will present a proposal to discuss the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081, along with the report of the Legislative Management Committee.

A proposal to pass the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081 will also be presented during the meeting.
