Mushroom industry opened in Nawalparasi



NAWALPARASI: A mushroom industry has been established as a joint venture of local youth entrepreneurs in Parasi, Nawalparasi.

Established with a capital of Rs 80 million, the industry is expected to produce 20 tonnes of oyster mushroom products monthly.

Youth entrepreneurs Kamal Kasaudhan, Lavkush Verma and Sunil Verma initiated the factory at Pokharapali in Ramgram Municipality-6 in the district.

Kasaudhan said that the industry spans over the area of 16 khattha.

The entrepreneurs said that oyster mushrooms to be produced year-round in the factory would be supplied to markets at home and abroad thanks to higher demand and market potential.

Parasi has emerged as an industrial corridor in the district lately and a large number of industries are being established there.
