Two arrested on charges of gangrape in Kailali

KATHMANDU: Two people have been arrested on charges of gang-raping two teenagers in Kailali.

The police have arrested two people on charges of gang-raping a 15-year-old teenager from Joshipur Rural Municipality-6.

According to DSP Kabindra Singh Bohara the two arrested are are Suman Dagaura and Kushal Chaudhary. They were taken into custody by the Area Police Office, Bhajani.

According to Bohara, the two other accused, Rajkumar Chaudhary and Ashiq Chaudhary, have fled to India.

The incident happened on December 7, however the complaint was filed only recently, said Bohara.

The survivor was allegedly raped when she was on her way to her maternal grandmother’s house.
