Speaker Ghimire to meet chief whips of all parties



KATHMANDU: As the winter session of the federal parliament approaches, Speaker Devraj Ghimire has intensified his efforts to prepare for the session.

Following discussions with the chief whips of the ruling and opposition parties yesterday, Speaker Ghimire is set to hold joint talks today.

The meeting, involving chief whips from five parties, is scheduled for 11 am at Singha Durbar, according to his secretariat.

Additionally, the Business Advisory Committee is set to meet tomorrow at 1 pm at Singha Durbar, as per the Speaker’s secretariat.

Speaker Ghimire will also hold separate meetings with the chairpersons of parliamentary committees handling bills, confirmed his press coordinator, Shekhar Adhikari.

The winter session of the federal parliament is set to commence on January 31.
