UML leader Pokharel affirms ‘strong unity’ with NC

MOHATTARI: CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has stated that the cooperation between the two main parties, CPN-UML and Nepali Congress, remains strong in running the current government.

He emphasized that the two major parties—Nepali Congress and CPN-UML—are working together with mutual understanding and trust to govern the country.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal in Bardibas, General Secretary Pokharel highlighted that the agreement between the two parties to address political instability is focused on the prosperity and development of Nepal.

He added that the general public has perceived the current government as stable since its formation, noting that this stability has begun to reflect in positive improvements in economic indicators.

General Secretary Pokharel also expressed that for the country’s continued prosperity and development, a government with a clear majority from one party should be formed in the upcoming elections.

He revealed that his party has launched the ‘Mission-2084’ campaign with this goal in mind.

Pokharel further stated that UML is resolutely working toward securing a clear majority in the 2084 BS elections.

Addressing comments from leaders of the main opposition parties who claim the current government is unnatural, Pokharel responded that labeling a government formed by the major parties with the most votes as unnatural is merely an excuse for those in power to maintain their positions.
