Upendra Yadav rules out immediate cooperation with Socialist Front

KATHMAND: Chair of the Janata Samajwadi Party, Upendra Yadav, has stated that there is no immediate possibility of cooperation with the Socialist Front.

Speaking to media persons in Lahan, Yadav remarked that while opposition parties are working to activate the Socialist Front, he is not inclined to participate at present.

“The Madhes movement has played a pivotal role in establishing a federal democratic republican governance system in the country,” Yadav said, reflecting on the significance of the movement in shaping Nepal’s political landscape.

The Madhes Province Government observes Sacrifice Day on Magh 5 each year to honor the contributions of the Madhes movement. The day commemorates Ramesh Mahato of Siraha, the first martyr of the Madhes movement, with tributes paid to his statue.

Yadav laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial in Lahan, underscoring the importance of remembering those who sacrificed their lives for the Madhes movement and the federal governance system.
