GHORAHI: Three persons including a child drowned here on Saturday. Two persons drowned in the river while fishing, and a toddler drowned in a stream, police said.

Sub-Inspector of Police at District Police Office, Binod Bikram Shah, informed that a girl child from Rajpur in Dang drowned in a stream this morning. Although the relatives rescued the one-year-old child sinking in the stream and rushed her to the Rapti Institute of Health Science, she was announced dead in a while.

Arjun Budha, 20, originally from Salyan district and Milan Lama, 26, originally from Okhaldhunga district drowned at Katarkuiya of Tulsipur while fishing in a local Gote River, according to the District Police Office, Tulsipur.

Meanwhile, a laborer Roshan Dahal, 25, from Ghorahi-15 has been seriously injured with electric shock constructing a house.
