US Dollar becomes costlier: Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar reaching a new peak.

The dollar has reached a new record high, alongside increases in the exchange rates of other major currencies such as the Euro, British Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Singapore Dollar, Japanese Yen, and Chinese Yuan. However, the value of the Australian Dollar has decreased, while some other currencies have remained stable.

According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at 138 rupees 28 paisa, while the selling rate is 138 rupees 88 paisa.

The buying rate for the Euro is 142 rupees 53 paisa and the selling rate is 143 rupees 15 paisa.

Similarly, the UK Pound Sterling is being bought at 168 rupees 92 paisa and sold at 169 rupees 66 paisa, while the Swiss Franc has a buying rate of  151 rupees 69 paisa and a selling rate of 152 rupees 35 paisa.

The Australian Dollar is being bought at  85 rupees 75 paisa and sold at 86 rupees 12 paisa.
For ten units of Japanese Yen, the buying rate is  8 rupees 88 paisa, and the selling rate is  8 rupees 92 paisa, while the Chinese Yuan is being bought at 18 rupees 87 paisa and sold at 18 rupees 95 paisa.

The Saudi Riyal has a buying rate of 36 rupees 86 paisa and a selling rate of 37 rupees 01 paisa. The Qatari Riyal is being traded at 37 rupees 93 paisa for buying and 38 rupees 09 paisa for selling.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised as needed. Commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and updated figures can be found on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
