Rabi Lamichhane returning to Kathmandu by road

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane is en route to Kathmandu from Pokhara by road, as he was unable to secure a flight ticket.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha confirmed Lamichhane’s travel plans, stating that he intends to appear at the Kathmandu District Court today, Friday.

“Chair Rabi Lamichhane has already left for Kathmandu by road, ensuring he will be present at the court regardless,” Jha said.

However, Lamichhane’s secretariat clarified that if he is unable to reach Kathmandu before 4 pm, he plans to appear in court on Sunday morning at 10 am.

Lamichhane was released from Kaski police custody on Thursday after spending 84 days in detention.

Kaski District Court ordered his release on a bail amount of Rs 6.5 million, which was paid through a bank guarantee.
