Damak to host KIMFF mobile event



DAMAK: The Kadam Natyaghar (Theatre) in Damak-9 will be hosting the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) in Damak.

Information about this was shared through a press meet here today.

According to Theatre’s Chair Hemant Budhathoki, the film festival will be organised on January 18-19 aiming to promote Damak in the theatre art.

The festival will feature four long and short documentaries and films. Likewise, panel discussions on various social issues will be held during the festival.

One key discussion will focus on the representation of the Dalit community in Nepal’s three-tier government, emphasizing the importance of their inclusion in such mechanisms.

The discussion will explore the challenges and opportunities for enhancing the Dalit community’s participation in both political and social spheres.

Around 1,000 people are expected to attend the festival, which is set to be the first of its kind to be hosted in Damak under the KIMFF mobile event series.
