KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, CPN (Maoist Centre), has finalized the agenda for its upcoming central committee meeting set to commence on January 5.

Party spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota shared that the standing committee meeting, attended by former Vice President Nanda Kishor Pun, decided on the key points of discussion.

The agenda includes a briefing by Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), provincial chairpersons’ reports, and the presentation of a political report by Dahal.

The meeting also focused on addressing national issues in light of international developments.

Additionally, the Maoist Centre concluded that Tribhuvan University’s Senate meetings should be held in their respective academic venues.

The party criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for holding the Senate meeting at Singha Durbar, describing it as contrary to meritocracy and transparency.
