Govt blacklists 12 construction companies and suppliers



KATHMANDU: The government has blacklisted 12 construction companies and suppliers, as announced by the Public Procurement Monitoring Office today.

This decision was made in accordance with the office’s notice issued on Wednesday.

The companies have been blacklisted under Section 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act 2007, which bars them from participating in any procurement process for periods ranging from one to three years.

Some of the blacklisted entities will be barred for three years, while others face a one-year or six-month ban.

The notice further revealed that public bodies, including the Directorate of Transport Infrastructure in Phidim, Panchthar, Nepal Telecom Central Office, Road Department in Chaurjahari, Rukum West, Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office, and Nepal Forest Corporation Limited, among others, had requested the blacklisting of the companies and suppliers involved.
