NPL: Biratnagar Kings batting against Pokhara Avengers

KATHMANDU: Biratnagar Kings and Pokhara Avengers are playing in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket match on Thursday morning.

Biratnagar’s captain, Sandeep Lamichhane, won the toss and decided to bat first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Pokhara, led by captain Kushal Bhurtel, will bowl first.

In a departure from the tradition of opting to field after winning the toss in morning matches, Biratnagar has chosen to bat and invited Pokhara to bowl.

Both teams are looking to secure their second win in the ongoing tournament.

So far, both Biratnagar and Pokhara have played four matches each, with one win and one loss each.

Biratnagar has lost to Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim Royals, and Karnali Yaks, while securing a victory over Lumbini Lions.

Similarly, Pokhara has lost to Chitwan Rhinos, Janakpur Bolts, and Karnali Yaks, but won against Lumbini Lions.
