KATHMANDU: Tara Air has restarted flights from Surkhet Airport to three remote districts in Karnali—Humla, Mugu, and Jumla—after a long lull.

The service, operated in collaboration with Himali Tours and Travels, commenced on Wednesday, offering flights to Simikot, Jumla, and Rara airports twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The fares for the routes have been set at Rs. 8,000 for Surkhet-Simikot and Rs. 6,500 each for Surkhet-Rara and Surkhet-Jumla, according to Suryamani Subedi, Tara Air’s Nepalgunj station in-charge.

The flights aim to improve connectivity and accessibility to these remote areas.
