Bus-hit kills scooter biker in Jhapa



JHAPA: A man died and 18 others sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred at Jamunakhadi of Kankai Municipality-1 in the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sujan Pokharel of Bhadrapur Municipality-9, said District Police Office, Jhapa.

The accident took place when a scooter, Me 11 Pa 8977, heading to west from east was hit by a passenger bus coming from the same direction. Critically injured Pokharel who was rushed to B and B hospital in Birtamod, breathed his last in course of treatment.

Some passengers of the bus also sustained injuries.
