Three youths killed in high-speed motorcycle collision



BIRATNAGAR: Three youths died, and another was seriously injured following a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Morang. The injured youth is currently in critical condition.

According to the District Police Office in Morang, the accident occurred on Thursday evening at a location known as Mangbare in Urlabari-3, Morang, along the East-West Highway.

The deceased have been identified as Deepak Dhimal, 33, of Pathari Shanishchare Municipality-5; Kishor Gurung, 28, of Dhamkuwa in Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-4; and Amit Limbu, 26, of Belbari Municipality-8, as confirmed by DSP Bed Joshi of the District Police Office.

The accident happened when a motorcycle with registration number Province 1-02-050 Pa 8406, traveling from west to east at high speed, collided with another motorcycle, registration number Province 1-02-043 Pa 9226, coming from the opposite direction, Morang police said.

Bishnu Dhimal, 38, of Pathari Shanishchare-5, was seriously injured in the collision and is currently receiving treatment at B&C Hospital in Jhapa, where his condition is also critical.

Deepak Dhimal was pronounced dead at Araniko Hospital in Urlabari, Kishor Gurung at Madan Bhandari Hospital in Mangalbare, and Amit Limbu at B&C Hospital in Birtamod.
