LAMJUNG: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said the incumbent government was serious to resolve problems facing people.

At a programme organized by CPN UML District Committee to exchange greetings on the occasion of Dashai, Tihar, Nepal Sambat and Chhath at Besisahar municipality-8 today, Minister Gurung informed that the government had been carrying out activities in order to address problems f disaster victims, farmers, entrepreneurs and contractors.

Sharing that decision was made to provide Rs 10 million to the most-affected local levels from landslide, flood and Rs 6 million to moderately affected, he mentioned that the government would make arrangement of temporary accommodation.

The Communications Minister expressed commitment to fulfill the activities like resolving the problems of dairy farmers on clearing payments.

“Since the formation of the present government, it has made all-out efforts to improve country’s economy. World Bank, Asian Development Bank and European Banks have been providing support in environment, education and health sector of Nepal”, he added.

Minister Gurung stated that all those involved in embezzlement of cooperatives’ funds would be brought for investigation and action as per law. The government would not be influenced by anyone in course of taking action against anyone found guilty of cooperative amount fraud, he asserted.

According to him, formulation of a policy to make social media systematic was afoot.
