SAFF Championship: Nepal and Sri Lanka to clash today

KATHMANDU: Two matches in Group B of the ongoing SAFF Women’s Championship will take place today in Kathmandu.

The matches feature Maldives against Bhutan and Nepal facing Sri Lanka.

The first match will kick off at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar at 1:30 pm, with Maldives taking on Bhutan. The second match, between Nepal and Sri Lanka, is scheduled for 5:30 pm.

In Group B, Nepal currently leads with 4 points from two matches, while Bhutan is in second place, also with four points.

Sri Lanka follows in third with three points, and Maldives has been eliminated from the semi-finals after losing both of their matches.

Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka all have a chance to qualify for the semi-finals.

Nepal can secure their spot with a draw against Sri Lanka, and Bhutan can do the same with a draw in their match.

In the ongoing tournament, Bangladesh and India have already reached the semi-finals from Group A, while Pakistan has been eliminated from the group stage.
