RSP demonstrating in Pokhara against Rabi’s arrest even today

POKHARA: Since the arrest of its Chairman, Rabi Lamichhane, in connection with the cooperative scandal, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been protesting daily in Pokhara, with clashes occurring during these demonstrations.

Today, RSP has announced another protest in Pokhara.

Party Vice-Chair Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal stated that a program ‘Solidarity Against Political Retaliation’ will be held at Zero Km in Pokhara on Tuesday, October 6, at 1:30 PM.

Lamichhane, the former Home Minister, was arrested by the Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) from Kathmandu on Friday last week and subsequently taken to Pokhara to investigate the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case.

He is currently in the custody of the District Police Office in Kaski.

Following the investigation in Pokhara, he is expected to be taken to the Butwal police headquarters to further investigate the Supreme Cooperative fraud case in Butwal, according to high-level sources.
