SAFF Women’s Championship: Nepal dominates Maldives with a 9-0 lead



KATHMANDU: Nepal has overwhelmed the Maldives with a barrage of goals in the SAFF Women’s Championship match. By the 78th minute, Nepal had established a commanding 9-0 lead.

Rekha Paudel shone for Nepal, scoring five goals. Sabita Rana Magar, Preeti Rai, and Anita KC also contributed to the impressive scoreline.

Nepal, placed in Group ‘A’, had drawn 0-0 against Bhutan in their first match, putting pressure on them to secure a big win in this game to advance to the semifinals.
