BHAIRAHAWA: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has said Nepal Telecom has not been able to make the desired progress due to the political anarchy of the employees’ organizations.

Minister Baskota said this while inspecting the Npal Telecom’s western region directorate in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi today. He said some big institutions are declining due to the unionism activities and some employees were active to put the Nepal Telecom in the same fate.

The Communications Minister said nine projects have been brought in Nepal Telecom at once now where no project had been introduced for two years. He directed the employees to extend cooperation for the success of these projects.

“The government takes action against those employees not extending cooperation to the Telecom’s development and involving only for personal gains, as the Nepal Telecom has provided salary and allowances to all its employees,” the Minister warned.

He also instructed the employees and office chief of Nepal Telecom’s offices to work becoming responsible to the people.
