KAILALI: An accident occurred in Kailali when a tractor collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a 22-year-old youth and serious injuries to another.
The incident took place on last evening in the Hulaki road section of Bhajani Municipality-7, involving a tractor and a motorcycle.
According to the District Police Office Kailali, the motorcycle was driven by Ashish Kumar Chaudhary, a resident of Kailari Rural Municipality-5.
He sustained severe injuries in the collision and was rushed to Navajiwan Hospital in Dhangadhi, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Another passenger on the motorcycle, 22-year-old Debit Chaudhary from the same locality, suffered injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Navajiwan Hospital in Dhangadhi.
The police have detained the tractor driver, 52-year-old Shivkumar Ahir of Bhajani Municipality-7, for further investigation into the accident.
