Vehicles allowed to ply on BP Highway starting Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Vehicles with route permission will be allowed to operate on the BP Highway beginning tomorrow, Tuesday.

According to the Road Division in Bhaktapur, small vehicles will be permitted on the highway, which was previously damaged by floods and landslides.

As many individuals return home for Dashain, transport operators have attempted to run larger buses starting today.

However, there are ongoing issues with diversions near Chowkidanda and the Mamati River.

According to the Division licensed vehicles will be allowed to operate cautiously after improvements are made.

There remains a risk of dry landslides in the Bhakundebesi-Barshekhola section.

Authorities have advised against traveling at night and urged that only small vehicles operate carefully on the highway.
