PM Oli to remain in Singapore for 10 more days



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is undergoing plasmapheresis  at National University Hospital in Singapore.

Treatment of Prime Minister Oli, who flew to Singapore on Thursday, began since Friday. According to Dibya Singh Shah, Oli’s personal doctor, his health condition is normal.

“PM Oli is undergoing plasmapheresis after the level of antibodies went up in the blood. The treatment began from Friday itself. His health condition is normal,” said Shah.

Plasmapheresis is a process that removes harmful antibodies from the plasma portion of the blood.

Oli’s treatment will take still 10 more day, he added.

PM Oli had left here for Singapore on August 22 to restore the functioning capacity of kidneys after anti-body grew much in his blood.

Earlier, he had returned from Singapore treatment on August 12.

Accompanying PM Oli include his spouse Radhika Shakya, chief political adviser Bishnu Rimal, private doctor Shah, and personal secretary Rajesh Bajracharya, among others.
