RSP leaders return home after cutting short their China visit



KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) returned to Nepal after shortening their 10-day visit to China.

The team arrived back in Nepal on Thursday after shortening their 10-day visit to China.

Led by party Vice Chairman Dr. Swarnim Wagle, a 14-member delegation flew to China last Saturday at midnight for what was intended to be a 10-day official program.

However, due to ongoing political developments in Nepal, the team decided to cut the visit short.

“We have shortened this visit due to the political developments in Nepal,” Wagle said.

“We were aware of the situation, and if the party is facing challenges at this difficult time, we made a unanimous decision to return.”

Despite the early return, Wagle noted that the delegation successfully completed two of their three planned agendas.

The team returned amid a political wave triggered by the arrest of Chhabilal Joshi, a close associate of RSP Chair Rabi Lamichhane, linked to a cooperative case.
