SAFF U-17 Championship: Nepal into the semi-finals

KATHMANDU: Nepal has reached the semi-finals of SAFF U-17 Championship.

In the last match of the group stage on Wednesday, Nepal defeated the home team Bhutan by 2-1 and reached the semi-finals.

Nepal came back and won the game when they were behind by 1-0 goals.

In Nepal’s victory, Krishna Bahadur Ale and Sujal Dangol scored one goal in the 56th minute of the game and Sujal Dangol in the 84th minute. Earlier, Bhutan took the lead with Yonten Tharchen’s goal in the 43rd minute of the game.

After this victory, Nepal became the runner-up from Group B and reached the semi-finals. From Group B, Pakistan has reached the semi-finals as the winner. Similarly, Bhutan has been eliminated as the third in Group B.

Now in the semi-final, Nepal will face India and Pakistan will face Bangladesh. The semi-final match will be held on Saturday.
