Progress achieved in health care, education sectors after federalism: President Deuba

BIRGUNJ: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has argued that the country was gradually becoming self-reliant on health care and education sectors after the implementation of federalism.

Inaugurating a hospital building at Patewa Sugauli Rural Municipality in Parsa district on Tuesday, the former Prime Minister argued that federalism should be strengthened and it should be best used for citizens’ welfare.

“With the federal setup in the country, gradual development in education and health care sectors is achieved,” Deuba said.

The NC President stated that the government was making its best possible efforts to ensure basic health care services at the grassroots and termed health care and education as the top two priorities of the people now.

He also asked the hospital administration to ensure quality and effective service delivery to the people within and beyond the rural municipality.

On the occasion, former PM Deuba said that all three tiers of government have no alternative to join hands together to work for the cause of public welfare.
