BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital expands its outreach



CHITWAN: The BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, one of the pioneer hospitals for cancer treatment in the country, is all set to expand its services.

The hospital is preparing to add two pharmacies and dental services soon with the rising number of patients, Hospital’s Executive Director Dr Shivaji Poudel said.

Currently, the hospital has run two pharmacies. Executive Director Poudel shared that the dental service is being started to provide treatment to patients with dental cancer.

Likewise, the hospital has brought a CT Scan Machine into operation after carrying out maintenance works and the intervention radiology service is also started, Hospital’s Assistant Director Dr Umesh Nepal said.

Similarly, the hospital is preparing to install and operate equipment for mammography, which is to confirm breast cancer.

“Process for the works of bone marrow transplant is also forwarded,” Dr Nepal said.
