Cricket: Nepal facing Canada in WCL2 today



KATHMANDU: Nepal will face Canada under the ICC Men’s World Cup League 2 underway in Canada.

The match is being held at the Maple Leaf North-West ground in King City this late evening.

This will be the second time that Nepal is playing against Canada in the League, after losing the match played between the two sides on September 16.

Host Canada defeated Nepal by 103 runs. Under the league, Nepal has collected only 2 points after just one win in six matches it has played so far.

In the points table, Nepal languishes in the 7th position. Canada is in the second position, after collecting 12 points in 10 matches so far.

In the second match played under the League in Canada, Nepal lost to Oman by 1 run on September 18.

Led by all-rounder Rohit Paudel, the Nepali national men’s cricket team comprises Sompal Kami, Aarif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Bhurtel, Karan KC, Lalit Rajbansi, Sandeep Lamichhane, Anil Shah, Aasif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, Rijan Dhakal, Kushal Malla, Arjun Saud, Dev Khanal and Gulshan Jha.
