Never before witnessed such wild support for monarchy: PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli has called on the people to remain resolute in their efforts to build a decisive national power, stressing the importance of maintaining the orderly path of republic, development, prosperity, peace, and good governance.

He warned against attempts to undermine these principles and prevent the country from progressing.

SPekaing at a program in the capital today, Prime Minister Oli, who also serves as Chairman of CPN-UML, expressed concern over the reactionary forces seeking to weaken the UML as a means of hindering change.

“The current situation is complex. The anti-change forces are openly defying the Constitution. It has never been seen before that people have so wildly supported a feudal, despotic, and authoritarian monarchy,” said Prime Minister Oli.

He criticized these forces for abandoning the path of truth and facts in favor of lies, illusions, conspiracies, and tricks.

“They prefer to propagate against the good work done rather than engage in constructive efforts,” he stated.

Prime Minister Oli urged the UML to emerge as a decisive national force in the upcoming elections, predicting a decline in the Maoist Center’s vote share to 4.5 million.
