Water Supply Minister Yadav pledges to address water issue in Birgunj



BIRGUNJ: Minister for Water Supply, Pradeep Yadav, has said the government is committed to addressing the issue of drinking water seen in Birgunj and its surroundings.

Speaking at a party cadres’ gathering organised by the Birgunj metropolis-16 unit committee here today, the Minister said ensuring citizens’ access to drinking water is the top priority of the government and it has implemented plans accordingly.

“The government is serious about the shortage of water the people are facing. We are working on the plans to address the issues durably”, he said, assuring of implementation of more effective plans ahead.

Yadav who is also the Deputy General Secretary of the JSP vowed to contribute to further strengthening the party.

Birgunj metropolis mayor Rajeshman Singh said the local government is fully committed to the prosperity and development of the town with an address to the citizens’ concerns.
