PM Oli requests all parties to stand together for protecting democracy



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has requested all the political parties to stand together to move ahead by institutionalizing democracy and achievements earned through different movements.

Speaking at an an-all party meeting held at Baluwatar, the prime minister’s residence on Tuesday evening, PM Oli requested all to unite as conspiracies are being hatched against the achieved achievements.

However, Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba accused the government of working unilaterally adding that the unity among all the party is not in the sight.

During the meeting, the leaders from the Madhes-based parties expressed their discontent over the working style of Cabinet ministers.

Likewise, Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also stressed on unity among all to protect the earned political achievements.

During the meeting, the prime minister briefed the leaders on his health condition informing that he is leaving on a medical trip to Singapore on Wednesday.

The meeting called to forge a consensus on a bill sub judice at Parliament was attended by PM Oli, Chairman Prachanda, Jhalanath Khanal, Narayankaji Shrestha, Bamdev Gautam, Bishnu Poudel, Ishwor Pokharel and Subas Nembang from the ruling party.

From the main opposition President Deuba, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, Purna Bahadur Khadka and Minendra Rijal attended the meeting.

Likewise, the meeting was attended by Chairman duo of Samajwadi Party Nepal Baburam Bhattarai and Upendra Mahato and Raj Kishor Yadav and Mahanta Thakur from Rastriya Janata Party.
