NEPSE falls 90.73 points, ending at 2,739.46 with total volume of Rs. 12.92 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index dropped significantly by 90.73 points, or 3.20%, closing at 2,739.46 points.

This decline follows a modest increase of 6.90 points from the previous trading session, when the index had ended at 2,830.16 points.

During today’s session, the index opened at 2,860.07 points and exhibited notable volatility throughout the day.

It reached a peak of 2,860.39 points and fell to a low of 2,732.40 points before settling at its final value.

Market activity was robust, with 320 stocks traded in 137,163 transactions.

The total number of shares exchanged was 26,584,192, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 12.92 billion.

The market capitalization was Rs. 4.35 trillion, while the float market capitalization stood at Rs. 1.53 trillion.
