ANFA awards Rs 50,000 each to Nepal’s SAFF U20 team members



KATHMANDU: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has awarded Rs 50,000 each to the members of Nepal’s SAFF U20 team.

Nepal secured the runner-up position in the 2024 SAFF U20 Championship, held from August 18-28 at the ANFA Complex, after being defeated by Bangladesh in the finals.

Earlier, ANFA had announced its decision to provide cash prizes along with 20 percent of the revenue generated from ticket sales to the players and match officials.

In total, ANFA distributed Rs 1,645,920 among the players, coach, and team officials.

Each player received Rs 65,040, which included their share of the ticket sales revenue.

Head coach Urjan Shrestha was awarded Rs 50,000, while assistant coaches Shasendra Dhimal and Raju Singh Maharjan each received Rs 25,000.

Additionally, team manager Rabin Khadka and physio Anish Budathoki were also awarded Rs 25,000 each.
