Diarrhea outbreak in Far West Nepal



DADELDHURA: A diarrhea epidemic has broken out at various parts of Parshuram Municipality in the district.

According to Municipality Health Section deputy coordinator Hikmat Dhami, 66 locals have fallen sick. The outbreak has particularly seen in Jamrani, Gairaigaun, Gupteganda, Sanikhola among other places in the municipality.

A medical team led by Far West State Health Directorate Public Health Inspector Keshar Saud has reached the affected areas with medicine.

Diarrheal diseases, including cholera, remain a major public health concern in the far western part of Nepal.
