Landslide blocks Karnali Highway



JUMLA: Continuous rainfall has caused landslides that have completely halted vehicular traffic on the Karnali Highway.

Bir Bahadur GT, Public Information Officer at the Road Division Office in Jumla, reported that the road is blocked due to a landslide at Gagnekhola in Kalikot on the Surkhet-Jumla route.

Efforts are currently being made to remove the debris. Landslides have also frequently occurred at Dahikhola, Gagnekhola, Esmod, and Hulm along the Kalikot section of the Karnali Highway.
