YAN leader Paudel urges govt to probe Lamichhane’s property



KATHMANDU: Leader of Youth Association Nepal (YAN), sister organization of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Ramesh Paudel has urged the government to investigate property details of Rabi Lamichhane who is currently doing time in police custody over the death of TV journalist Salikram Pudasaini.

Paudel demanded to do so after a footage left behind by Paudasaini before be ‘committed suicide’ claimed that Lamichhane bargained with businessmen, industrialists and smugglers and take millions of rupees.

Social networking sites are flooded with for-and-against discourses on the issue.

On Thursday, police had arrested three people including Lamichhane for investigation into Pudasaini’s death.

Police have been investigating Lamichhane after taking him on five-day remand from Chitwan District Court.
