CPN (Unified Socialist) leaders rule out unity with Maoist Center

KATHMANDU: Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and senior leader Jhalanath Khanal of CPN (Unified Socialist) have asserted that there are no immediate prospects of unifying their party with the CPN (Maoist Center).

Addressing the central committee meeting on Sunday, both leaders emphasized that merging with the Maoist Center is not feasible at this time.

Senior leader Khanal criticized the Maoist Center for failing to consult with CPN (US) while in power, only seeking discussions after being ousted from power.

Khanal also mentioned that Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been consistently advocating for party unity.

However, Chairman Nepal reaffirmed that there is no possibility of unifying CPN (US) with CPN (Maoist Center).
