BIRTAMOD: Six individuals have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping a 16-year-old girl, with the assaults occurring at separate locations on the same night.

Those arrested include 19-year-old Anish Limbu of Arjundhara Municipality-5, 34-year-old Saroj Rai of Arjundhara-8, 25-year-old Keshav Magar, 20-year-old Sudeep Shrestha, and Sujan Dangi.

The district police office reported that one person involved in the incident is currently at large.

According to the police, the assaults took place on Friday night.

After the victim filed a complaint on Saturday, the police apprehended six individuals connected to the case.

Superintendent of Police Milan KC stated that three suspects were involved in one incident on Friday night, and four were involved in another.

The police have arrested six individuals related to both incidents.

The police investigation suggests that the girl was initially assaulted at a location in Hatiya, a new market area in Arjundhara-8, and then taken to a hotel.

The girl was reportedly invited to go for a walk around 8:30 PM and was later brought to the hotel at around 11:00 PM.

Anish, Saroj, and Keshav are believed to have committed the assault in Hatiya before transporting the girl to a hotel in Arjundhara-7.

The police have identified four hotel staff members, including the owner, as participants in the crime.

The victim’s condition is reported to be stable. The police are preparing to file charges against the arrested individuals and extend the deadline for the trial of the coercion case.
