Nepal defeats Bangladesh, secures spot in SAFF U-20 Championship semi-finals



KATHMANDU: Nepal has advanced to the semi-finals of the SAFF U-20 Championship as the Group ‘A’ winner.

On Thursday, Nepal defeated Bangladesh 2-1 to secure their spot.

Despite the loss, Bangladesh finished in second place in the group but also progressed to the semi-finals.

Sri Lanka, the third team in the group, has been eliminated.

The semi-finalists from Group ‘B’ are yet to be determined.

With India, Bhutan, and the Maldives all still in contention, the outcome of Friday’s match between India and the Maldives will decide the remaining semi-final spot.
